Try put it on a different port.

A mate was doing something similar once and had a few issues with the server being on 27015 for his lan... just up it by 1.

sometimes you cannot see your lan server from the internet due to your router configuration. but it should be shown under lan..

it is still an internet server but there are some settings on a router to stop traffic from your ip back to you ip iforget or something like that. Butit isin fact a internet server just you cannot see it from you seat on your network. Idsee if you have the newest firmware for your router update it and see settings for security.... or if you want just make your server ip the dmz host on your router that puts it on the outer side of the firewall..

It sounds like it is working as an internet server just fine if other people are connecting on it. But if you want to join your own dedicated server, you're going to have to use your "local IP", not your global IP.

If you're playing on the same computer you're hosting on, do this:
Add a server to your favorites, 127.0.0.1:[port#], then connect.

If you have a crappy connection and/or machine, you can put an pingkicker.

But that becomes really ... inconvienient if you hit lagspikes. It'll autokick everyone...

I wasn't saying you have a crapy anything. I'm telling you that you can set up the server to autokick anyone pinging over a desired amount, and warning you of the consequences of doing this.
