Before posting, please read!

Have you read the wiki FAQ (http://www.wiki.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions)?

GAME PLAY:

Are you not sure how to play SourceForts?
Read the Getting Started (http://www.wiki.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php/Getting_started) article on the wiki.
CLIENT:
Do you have the latest version of SourceForts installed:
Sourceforts v1.9.3
Get yours at the Download Section (http://www.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php?p=site_downloads) (do not download the torrent if you do not have Bittorrent software installed (if you have to ask, you don't). More information on installation (http://www.wiki.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php/Installation) is available on the wiki.
Did you extract the SourceForts ZIP file to the correct directory? The gameinfo.txt file should be here:
...steam/SteamApps/SourceMods/sourceforts
Do you have a pirated version of HL2:
Get lost, because SourceForts won't run. Go out and buy HL2, tightwad.SERVER:
Do you know how to setup a dedicated server?
The wiki has instructions for Windows (http://www.wiki.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php/Setting_up_a_Windows_dedicated_SF_server) and Linux (http://www.wiki.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php/Setting_up_a_Linux_dedicated_SF_server) servers.

Start the server. Once it starts, go to the console and type "map (mapname)" to start the first map. The "map" command drops everyone from the server, so you should only use it when you first start the server. Any other time you want to change maps from within the console, use the "changelevel (mapname)" command, all sans quotes.
Do you have an admin plugin:
http://www.mani-admin-plugin.com/mani_admin_plugin/v1_1_0g/mani_admin_plugin_v1_1_0g_hl2mp.zip
Make sure you install it to the correct directory:
...steam\steamapps\(steam account name)\source dedicated server\hl2mp
Do you know how to make a mapcycle or message of the day:
http://sourceforts.seascape.uk.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=193
Do you know all the server commands:
http://www.wiki.sourcefortsmod.com/index.php/Console_commands (http://sourcefortsmod.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=186)
Do you know how to kick lamers/cheaters:
You can use the "status" command, and kickid, and then the player's number.

So, if you wanted to ban Knifa from your server, and he was the #2 on the status list, you'd just type: kickid #2.I hope this helps with most common faults. If this doesn't help your problem, do a quick search to see if anyone else has had the same problem. If there isn't a discussion currently about your fault, please feel free to make a new thread.

If all of the above doesn't help, you can post a new topic.
Make sure you include in the post ALL of your specs, like what cpu you have, what graphics card etc.
