Me n David were screwin around in my nerdy server (It's been up for 5 hours) and we found out that you can freeze the combine balls. Not sure if this has been known before and I know it doesn't matter much since it just blows up in like 5 seconds... Still fun if your using a cheating match (without buddha/godmode) and you want an alternative way of stopping/reflecting the ball insted of using GG.

I beleive that has been fixed for 1.4

Yes, in 1.4 you cannot freeze the ball anymore.

You always were, just put func_vphys_clips around the ball.

Uh, you can still freeze the balls, you can't freeze the CTF balls.

Everyone except Knifa fails @ comprehension.

The original poster is talking about the plasma balls -the secondary fire mode of the combine assault rifle.

The line "since it just blows up in like 5 seconds" from the original post should have cleared up any ambiguity about whether the post was in reference to the flags or the plasma balls.

Yeah... Yare and Knifa are on the right track. I was talking about the plasma ball, correctly termed, Combine ball.

Who cares? Technically, any game where there is simultaneously a freeze gun and a plasma has CHEATING going on anyway.

Up side? Looking like a total badass as you freeze a plasma bomb inches from your face.

Down side? Complete disintegration.

See, here's the magic. If you somehow get a combine-ball and a freezer pistol in a game you probably have sv_cheats on, which leads to the conclusion that buddhism (CHEAT CODE BUDDHA HINT HINT!) is capable of allowing pain but not death.

I tend to learn which ones are shock images... or just never clicking on any links because of shock/roll...
