Default 3D Studio Max 6 Trial?

Where can I download the free 30-day 3d Studio Max 6 trial?
I've heard bad things about 7 and they don't host the Max 6 trial anymore, apparently.

Thats definately not the right route to go. No one can legally host the Max 6 Trial so you are out of luck in that department. However, 3ds Max 7 is just as good as 6, or so I've heard. I personally use Maya which has a much better free version than Discreet has for Max. Maya personal Learning Edition That is the full version of Maya Complete except watermarked.

Just go with Maya, it is much better in almost all areas, most definately in the animation department. Althouth it has a bit of a learning curve, the workflow is much better than Max's... although I have never used the full version of Max, only Gmax.

Kazaa?
Your kidding, right?
I'd like to keep my computer software intact and not loaded with spyware and 300 pop-ups per web page I browse.
Besides, isn't that warez?

Okay, with maya learning edition, what are the limits? Can you not export models and such?

You cannot take models anywhere or do anything with them outside of Maya. However, it is a free solution to learning Maya without paying $2000. Once you learn it you could purchase a student licensed copy of Maya at $200. With that copy you can do anything a regular licensed copy of Maya can do, except you can not make a profit from anything.
