This game looks amazing. I havn't been excited for a game release, since.. HL2 I guess. I plan on buying it on release day.

Take a look at some of these screens:

Tons and tons of media (42 videos!) and lots of info about it over at IGN.com.

I'm looking forward to BF2 as well. Still no SA80 though .

I'm going to get it, but TBH it just looks like a retail version of DC with some extras.

I never really liked Desert Combat. I felt totally helpless without being in a vehicle, and the air units seemed massively overpowered. I guess they were trying to appeal to the "zomg i just killed lyke 4000 people" type gamers.

The only BF that I played a lot was vietnam. I was great at driving helicopters but I think that BF2 will be a lot better than the others

If you want to argue about that, start a new topic. Otherwise just accept that I know what I'm talking about and that the SA80 is the best Individual Weapon available to infantrymen.

Driving helicopters? I fly them myself , but haven't had the chance to play BF Vietnam yet.

It was good but boring, after you tried all the maps, tried all the guns and teams it's boring and you put that game in the trash.

I was fine on foot in DC, until a helicopter got me in his sites... then it was all over, rover. It was good fun flying in the black-hawks though.

Battlefield 1942 was a great game!... until I realized that it used 2x more RAM than it needed, was impossible to alt-tab out of, required a 10mbit connection to play, used up all of my processing power on both my GPU and CPU, and then left me in the dust when it came to actually quiting the game. Not to mention the load times, and then the pre-load times where, for no reason what so ever, it would start spinning up the CD in the CD Drive, even though the entire game was on the hard drive, and the only need for the CD was for authentication purposes.... yeah I loved that game.
