Okay, so my microphone on my headset stopped working. I'm using Plantronics Audio .90's, and while they're known to break and I've gone through a few pairs, these ones havn't given me any problems yet. My microphone has stopped working, and I can't figure out why. I go on ventrilo, and no one can hear me. I press the "monitor" button which checks the volume of my speach when I speak, and all I get is 0's (low numbers for quiet, and high numbers for loud, 0 means no sound). It doesn't work on the in-game voice chats in different games (CS, CS:S, HL2DM, UT2k4).
If I go to control panel, Sound, Voice tab, and click the Test Hardware button, I'm prompted to read a paragraph, and then I click next. This is the error message I get:
It was working just fine the other day, and I didn't make any hardware changes or software changes relative to my sound or mic. I've tried unplugging the headset and plugging it back in, and using a headset with a mic that works on another computer, and it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me out? This is really a pain in the ass.
I'm running a SoundBlaster Live! card. Drivers have been no help.
