Default I think I've found a new bug

Im not sure, if anyone can help me, and it doesnt just seem to be sourceforts. I think its all my 3rd party games. But I want to play sourceforts. I downloaded sourceforts not too long ago, extracted it all to the right place and played the game for a couple days with my friends (at this time i could make my own server or search for other servers). One day on my server with my 2 friends I got an error and had to restart my computer, it had to do with the game (im pretty sure it happens when you build something in an area of your base and its in a spawn point so someone spawns into a piece of the fort). Well I was mad that I had to restart my computer, so I didnt play for a couple days. I went to play it a couple days later and got some type of video mode error, where it had to restart the game, it kept ending up in a windowed mode of 640x480 (this never happened before). I reinstalled the game, it would still happen... I used the auto installer... still.... happened... so I said whatever. FINALLY I let it restart to fix the mode and it didnt go into the 640 windowed mode.... but... I cant see any servers on my server list and I cant create my own (non dedicated) server anymore. HERE is the error message I get and it makes no sense to me. "Connection Failed After 4 Retries"... wtf? Im not connecting to another server im trying to start my own. Well I figured a way to find servers, because when i click on filter and normally it would show me what game im filtering for... wrong. It is blank so its not even filtering for a sourceforts game. Well the way i found out to find servers is go out of ingame and click on the servers list and under that server lists filter (because you can change which game to filter, its not locked) i selected sourceforts BAM i get a bunch of servers... and here it comes... BUT "Connection Failed After 4 Retries"... WOW OK, so I thought mabey its just this game so I installed another 3rd party game I wont mention any names because sourceforts is far better then that. I get the same deal, I cant filter for anyservers and when I try to make my own i get "connection failed after 4 retries" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!! someone help me, 1 More thing, yesterday I reinstalled steam... that was annoying took along time. This morning when It was ready, I was hoping that would fix whatever is wrong... nope. So Im here with my final plea. someone PLEASE help me. I havent tried making a CS:S server yet but im hoping it will work and im only getting this issue with third party games. I really need help please do reply with whatever help you may have. im NOT reinstalling steam again....

Jeeze you really do have some problems dont ya  lol.

Right, first off have you downloaded and installed the Latest Video drivers for your graphics card? Please install, reboot and retest.

If your still getting no where, first make sure that STEAM IS NOT RUNNING then physically remove "Sourceforts" from the "Sourcemods" folder and then reinstall again and retest.

Have you overclocked your Graphics card? even by a little? If so please put the clock settings back to default as the Source Engine is very sensitive to overlock.

If you are still experiencing problems after performing the above checks please state exact error messages and what you have done so far so we know where your at

i dont overclock my card, i have all the updated drivers, yes i have manually deleted sourceforts, 3 times, and manually deleted steam once (not happening again). I have rinstalled and tested again and again... im wondering whats going on this has never happened ever. Although I did just recently defrag my computer... But im sure thats got nothing to do with it, because i just reinstalled steam (after defrag) and its still doing the problem.

oh yeah and the exact error message im getting is (oh and by the way i fixed my video mode problem, the problem im having now is not being able to actually play the game...) connection failed after 4 retries, it says that when i try to type in an ip in console and connect, or if i try to create my own server, or if i go out of game and maually filter for source forts servers and try to connect to one... its really annoying i have no idea what could be doing this...

I would say this looks like a possible graphics card issue my friend. Do you have another PC to put it into to test?
