i cant seem to connect to the #sourceforts IRC, keeps giving me that its on Invite Only

GameSurge (the IRC network where #sourceforts is in) has been DDoS'ed and it not very stable and servers have been netsplitting (ie, not connected to other servers on the network, which means chaos basicly) and you should try other servers because someone could have taken over the channel and made it invite only when it shouldn't be (the channel can't be taken over when the channel service is there, but because of netsplit it isn't on servers that netsplitted.)
