Default Only 1 server running?

This cant be right, I only see 1 server running for the entire Source Forts, no filters nothing. Both me and my friend tried creating servers but, it doesnt show up and we cant connect to eachother any more. Is this a problem with our ISP or something, or is everyone suffering this? Does it have something to do with the latest CS:S and Source update (somehow idk )

Are you behind a router?

If so, then you must either forward port 27015 to your computers local network IP address or set your computers local ip address as the DMZ host. I know to access these on most linksys routers you go to this address:

http://192.168.1.1

When the login box comes up the default username and password is admin and admin, if you changed these when you setup your router then you must enter what u said. If you forgot, hold down the reset button on the router for 15 seconds and it will clear all of the routers information.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To clarify my problem, I am only seeing very few SF servers running at all. There are no SNAFUs or any other dedicated ones that are always on. Is this a problem with me or steam or its not a problem at all and thats the way everyone has it now?

I normally only see about 2 or 3 aswell but when school has finished (I dont go to school) I see about 8 - 15

I got a feeling its because....

1. not everyone that has hl2 has heard about this mod.

2. no linux ded files out yet.

Ive been playing for a while and I always see at least a page or so of servers . Now ... Its Sat @ 7:00 and there are only 5 servers... Where did they all go, SNAFU #1 and #2 and the whole host of other dedicated servers. Did they dissapear? This is what I see right now (7:06)

There are usually a lot more ... with better pings, those are all non-dedicate.

Is this what everyone else is getting?

I have noticed that servers that do not appear on list are online. I noticed that some that were on my history and favorites that were online did not show up on the active servers list.

Default No Servers....

I can't find any servers except of one single 4 players server.
There must be more servers?!

Why i don't see them?

Is this a personal or a general problem?

I meaby now know why your server won't show up at the servers' list.

I have 512/512Kbit ADSL and when I start my server it won't show up at the servers' list but when someone who has 700Kbit ADSL connection starts his own server it shows up at the list immediatelly so I came to a conclusion if you don't have 700Kbit or faster ADSL connection your server won't show up at the list.

But I'm not sure is this right answer.

Edit: Well looks like I have solved my own server's showing up problem. My ADSL modem after all has router and also NAT filter what erase my own ip to others so they can't join cause that NAT changes it or do something to it so when they try to join in my ip that NAT prevents them to join.

And when I turn my NAT off my modem won't send any data to anywhere.

Valve have been having problems with the master servers recently. I'll post more details when I find the e-mail.
