Default Kill stealing?

Well in the last few pugs I've played in, I've noticed that people are complaining about kill stealers. Now honestly, if a teammate is helping you kill an enemy that should be encouraged instead of just having a bunch of 1 v 1's.

Basically this is a simple proposal for one of the later versions of 2.0, which is that if a player reduces an enemy's health by at least 30%, they get points for a kill, no matter who finishes them off. And before anyone says anything, you get the same amount of points if you reduce their health by 90% as you would if you reduce it 30%. It's just to encourage teammates to work together to take out the enemy and rewarding that.

uhh, honestly I complain a load about people stealing my kills, but truly I don't really care. I obviously failed speaking in internet-sarcasm.

Terrible idea. If anything implement a sweet thing like they have in TF2 that tracks assists.

TF2 is more than likely the same thing, but with 50% instead of 30% so that only one person can get an assist on any particular kill.

This idea sucks. What about the guy who rocket spams all game and gets 500 kills while the rest of the players actually do something and get the kills yet have significantly lower kill scores?

in SF, it's the teamwork thats important.

Bad way of doing it.

Should be more like;
For every 150 units of damage you do to an enemy, you get a point.
Or, rather, for every unit of damage you do to a player, you get 0.07 points.

No discrimination of how easy it is to kill a cirtain class. No complaining about taking someone's points. If you do enough damage to kill an average person, you get a point.

The one minor issue is that explosives damage several people at once, but the damage isn't equal anyway and explosives always have a delay between spikes of damage.

If you manage to kill someone in a way that doesn't rely on the other player being weakened (for arguments sake, let's say close-up headshots, spy-like back stabbing, rolling a granade right under someone's feet, etc) you get a point, regardless, for skill.


Should work out well.


I still think you should get more points if you kill someone who is attacking a teammate, though. Yay for teamwork.
