Default slightly over 45 mins in Sf_fieldtrip

Yet another "my fort"

This is what i built in about 45 mins after seeing all the cool forts others have built.

The middle of the wall is a bunker, you can step onto the small blocks and shoot out the windows, also it is nade proofed most the way because the wall is tilted out instead of in so you cant just lob a grenade under it,you can go up the ramp to acess a more open bunker up above the others.

A side view of the above mentioned bunker area

A top-down view of my fort(the thing on the left is my funnel/tunnel entrance, more on that later)

a closer look at my funnel thingie, the top is closed off(you will see why later)

another view of my funnel thingie

inside the end of the funnel thingie, now you see why its covered.(so that it is really hard to jump out)

Even my spawn point serves as a bunker(it is also un-campable)

A view from in front of my Spawn-bunker

On the ramp in my spawn bunker,as you can see the side are nade proofed but the front is not(as making it so would make it hard to get out)

A view from outside my fort, you can see how it would work really well against sprint-thrown grenades.

Hope you like it

Its a good beginner fort. Has many many ways it can improve, and the not perfectly overlapped wall pieces would drive OCD people crazy. It would definatly not last more than 4 minutes against nade spamming though. Needs a lot more reinforcement. The general idea is there though. Keep playing and taking ideas from other forts and adding it to yours. Also, it seems like 45 minutes for this is a bit excessive even for 1 person. An experianced person could build something like that in < 10 minutes. If you use each wall piece to prop the next piece up against and push against it to flatten it out, instead of lifting the piece up, drop it so its sorta strait, will not only make the base look nicer, buts its a lot faster to construct.

And, I'm not sure but, I think if i sprinted and jumped at the corner where the slanted front part of your wall meets the verticle parts, I could make it through.

Dunno about the jump iin part, is try to make my forts un-jumpable.also i wasnt trying to overlap them,in fact they are quite week.after the first fight i was going to thicken and overlap the walls.maybe add bridges on top of the area where the peices start so that i can turn the areas up there into bunkers as well or make a nade tower/bunker.but alas i had to get off so my dad could check his email and i needed sleep anyway.
Thanks for actually replying

i think i have to say... your fort would be easily overpowered if the other side has an extremely high tower... the way you covered your spawn door... bad idea, people could easily throw grenades inside and wait forthem to explode, instead of having to time and estimate each throws to have a precise exploding time...

nice fort, i like the middle walls, where its curved and looks really like a bunker, the entrance is a good idea too, but when it makes it difficult for enemies to come into your base, it is also difficult for you to go back too, making it easier for enemies to kill you with nades or SMGs, but having a cover on top, makes the flag stays on top when you die, so you cant capture the flag but your mate can..

overall its a good fort, good job

The problem with placing your bunker in front of the flag box, is that nades that pass through the opening will bounce back off the flag and into the bunker.

There's also no nade shields so tossing nades nearly straight up at a slight angle would make it pretty easy to get nades right into your bunker.

I'm near positive knifa made it so nades would do little, or no damage at all to walls, because some of us thought nades would totally wreck bases in minutes.

Anyway, it's a generic fort.
