Default Test Projekt (QuadLayering Fort)

Well this is my personal little uncompleted fort... as you can see, its on sf_tower_top_b1 again due to its unlimited props,

Overview of uncompleted fort

Close up of layering

Scaffolding

First and Second(interlocking) Layers

Third Layer

Fourth(Final) Layer

spent about 2hours placing most of the plates proper, should give the destabilizers a hard time in pulling off the plates as the outer layer is actually being 'body-pushed' as tight as possible, thus its actually interlocking each other

2nd layer is actually an interlocking of 2 or more long planks together... and the bigger plates are covered over at regular intevals, making the stripper having to strip off the 3 or 4 third layer before reaching the long planks and thus reaching the final defense, of course the flag itself will be of another room, making it a total of 5 layers instead of 4, but i didnt have the time to finish it.

Moreover, this is the fort that i'm building halfway and managed to make a savegame out of it, thus i would be continueing on this as soon as i get the damn door of prop spawn open during build mode...

Cool idea, but two things:

1. You can give fort-busters a much harder time and use even less pieces by taking advantage of the fact that pieces have to be pushed away. There's always those who will take your pieces with their mechanic kit, but I rarely see that happen, as people in pubs don't work as a team to really bring forts down quickly.

2. I don't understand why you're making a fort to stand up to people trying to tear it apart if it's not at all feasible to be used in an actual game.

I can understand if you're trying to show off how to make a certain type of fort/wall, but it needs to be able to be built by one person in under 30 minutes (multiple people building would drastically bring the time down), or there's just no way a team can pull it off.

Thats a good idea to interlock pieces but once a piece is knocked down one can use it to build a ramp over the wall.

Also another problem is you use way to many pieces, and the way you have it, it turns into a nade exploit.

But its a very good idea to interlock pieces.

that would be very easy to destroy with a couple of pulse rifles.

That wall looks very nice though I must say Once some peices are destroyed and removed... It must be hell to replace them ... seeing as they are tightly locked together...

No it wouldn't. If your refering to pulse grenades, they aren't accessable in normal gameplay, and thier effect is a bug that is intended to be removed anyways.

dude once you loosen an outside piece ( by shooting) a person can buy the kit and turn it into a ramp over the wall.

no, i mean pulse rifles, the ar2 ones the combine have, their primary fire can take out plates in a matter of seconds with enough ammo
