Default A very nice fort, home feeling.

Hi,

First up I cant take credit for this, im just the guy who took the screenshots and kicked some combine scum.

Ok screenshots.

Below is a screen shot of the fort close up

Below is the fort from a distance, ( standing on a high tower I made from the left over objects)

Below is the entrance to the fort, its that gap you can see to your right.

Below is me standing in the entrance of the fort as you can see from this it goes down like a narrow corridor and flanks right.

Below is me standing inside the fort, where the flag is kept inside a seperate room.

Below is two team mates standing on top of the fort.

Below is me inside with two of my team mates

Below is me standing on top of fort about to shoot through some windows

Below is a side view of the fort

this concludes this fort, thank you for taking the time to look at the screen shots.

the creator of this fort was a player called "sontix[feel good inc.]"

Many thanx.

hi peeps,

yes its 2 story high it has/had a ground floor and another floor

Im enjoying source forts alot think im addicted cant go a day without playing it hehe.

just wish that valve or who ever made it would correct 2 things...

1. allow me to rotate objects

2. some how, stop the other team from blocking their flag. i know thats the whole point of the game but they can at least make it possible to get to if u get my drift.

Valve didn't make it. You can check out who made it and who's currently running it on the main site and in the General Discussion forum.

Been suggested many times, and rejected.

Yeah, that can be lame, but in the upcoming version, flag blocking will be a really stupid tactic to use. Not just cheap, but it'll put your team at a giant disadvantage. Don't want to give too much away though.

In personal experience, I have found this kind of fort very easy to defend from, because there are so many different spots you can keep changing between.

how come it has been rejected? I dont see any problem with being able to rotate objects. I thought it would be a good idea as it would give people a chance to build better forts?

abouts this flag blocking thing...

the reason why i said the devloper should come up with a way to stop it is 2 things really 1. u wont be able to capture the enamy flag if u block ur own. 2. whats the point playing the game if u cant capture any flags?

It'd make it pretty simple for anyone to make a near perfect fort without much time going in to it. I think most of the skill in creating a base comes from creativity, but some should come from being able to build also.

Well, that's why I don't see flagblocking as a huge issue, except with brand new players who don't really grasp the concept. I don't block my flag off because I can't capture the enemy flag, simple as that.

But like I said, if you block your flag in 2.0, you're putting you and your team at a huge disadvantage and your teammates will probably be pissed at you.
