Default sf_tower (Final) (updated overview)

Map Name : sf_tower
Theme : Middle of city, taking place on a skyscraper with open top. Think sf_abandon, but without the roof limit and more space to screw around with. And more ways to attack the fort.

General Idea: The fight takes place on top of a tower. You must be careful when making your base, one wrong move and the other team will destroy you. If you take the low ground they will build over YPU. If you block all of your doors, they will drop on you.

Alpha 2 shots are now up. And later today around 5:00pm ct i'm going to get a freind of mine to run a test server with this map.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but if it's a public release, shouldn't it be labeled a beta rather than an alpha version?

When i start the server it will be beta 1, right now i'm calling it alpha since their has been no release.

It's real good... Not sure how long the server's been up since I've been playing it since 10:00 CT and it's supposedly been up since 5. The pieces bounce like every 7 minutes though, making it pretty hard to play/build long-term. Otherwise, the map is great. I'd give it a 7/10. 8/10 with less bounciness.

My test server went pretty well today. I had my other friend michael q (Eagle Eye) start playing it first at 5:00pm. But then at seom point he left and the server was un attended for a while & it went bouncy. Then i spent 1 hours fixing some errors & trying to upgrade the skybox a little. Then i had my friend chriss (Majaik13(Can't spell)) play it for a few hours & and then finally austin (Redox) played the map for a while, untill it crashed & he had to goto bed.

I think i got most of the major bugs worked out of the map. And the skybox looks nice and blends with the map pretty well.

I should have a beta 3 out soon. After that and a few days of playtesting I think I will have to call it final. So maybe by saturday it will be a finished map.

Beta 3 Changes
-Blinking Lights
-Fixed some texture issues.
-The level is a tad bit brighter.
-More skybox buildings. I'm trying to hide the horizon a little bit more.

It's source engine bug, it has nothing to do with the map.

are those statues custom models?

will it be an official map?

the outside looks a bit 1.6-ish, I think it should be curved not angled to show of the source engine.
