As you may or may not know, today was hoped to be the day that SourceForts v1.9.4 would undergo its final beta test. However, during testing some issues cropped up that have resulted in the need for further minor (yet very necessary) code fixes to be performed. We do not expect these fixes to take very long, but they will cause disappointment for those who expected a release to follow today's test. In the meantime, here are some screenshots of one of the maps Commander has updated for v1.9.4, sf_astrodome (Click to expand).





We will keep you guys updated as we finish up the last few fixes for v1.9.4.

Looks a bit dark for my taste, but it might just be the screenshot.

May I just ask if the entire map is going to be that much darker, or is that just how it seems from the angle the screenshot is taken from or something of the sort?

It's really doesn't seem as dark as in the screenshot while playing. It's not really a majour decrease in lighting. I'm confident that when you guys play it, you'll like it.

These were taken straight from the game, no post-processing. While in-game the map is a little brighter, it's not a huge change. The general atmosphere is still the same, but I assure you that it's not hard to play on.

I was really dubious about the lighting when commander first showed us screenshots, but when I played it I found it to be perfect.

1 more question: It looks to me from the picture that the geometry on the bridge was changed (the angle of the small slope). For anyone who has played the new version of this map, is it?

It seems theres a general slope to the middle of the bridge, while in the current version there is that sharp slope up which you can scroll jump off.
