How can i set the max players on a listen server? My PC bogs down is over 8 players, but i liked running a listen server so i can play the at the same time. When creating a listen server it no longer lists the box for max players. I tried editing server.cfg file and add a line maxplayers 8, but did not work still.... suggestions?

I have this problem too, I think its becose of the build.cfg and fight.cfg. Maybe it will work if u put the maxplayers in server.cfg build.cfg and fight.cfg. When i host a server it sometimes has 2 maxplayers but othertimes it has 16 maxplayers :S for some reason it just changes once in a while...

i was actually wondering thte same thing. i googled it and didn't come up with anything that would allow you to change maxppl ingame, if its even possible.

That works for me.

ok I found it hurray

D:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\sourceforts\cfg\g ame

when you open that in note pad it should say sv_lan 0 and under it you should add maxplayers 8 (or what ever number you want)

I also added sv_alltalk 1 because i like all talk

Whats the point of putting alltalk when you dead can't talk to living like in css? Isn't that pointless?
