I'm hosting a Dedicated Server from my computer. When i enter the server ont he same computer and go into copnsole and enter in "rcon_password <password>" then i try putting in soemthing like "sv_cheats 1" so i can use "switchmode". I tried giving the Rcon_password to my cousin he joined and put that in the console but no luck. IF anyone is having a similar problem, please help, thank you. Also, i opened up server.cfg with notepad, and (i copypasted teh server.cfg from HL2CTF files, i may switch it to the HL2DM server.cfg; but sofar it seems to work, other than rcon_password.

Try "rcon [password] <command>" rather than "rcon_password [password] <command>"

both wrong, do rcon password (password) first. then do rcon (command).

Kool, hope that works. I've never used the hl2 rcon before, the syntax I posted before was the rcon syntax in halo ce.
