Default Sample Dedicated Server Files

I thought this might be useful for other people wanting to run dedicated servers. These are all direct copies of the contents of each file (except with my email address split up so the spam bots don't find it) from my server, Lamarr's Headcrab Shack. To create your own, create a new file in notepad and enter the values as you want. Then do "save as", choose all files in the save as type menu, then enter the name you want for each file.

mapcycle.txt:
  • sf_fieldtrip
    sf_overload
    sf_testmap
    sf_drainage
    sf_iceland

motd.txt:
  • <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Cstrike MOTD</title>
    <style type="text/css">
    div {
    font-family:Verdana,Tahoma;
    color:#000000;
    }
    body {
    background:#FFFFFF;
    margin-left:8px;
    margin-top:0px;
    }
    a {
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a:link {
    color:#777777;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a:visited {
    color:#777777;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a:active {
    color:#777777;
    text-decoration: none;
    }
    a:hover {
    color:#777777;
    font-weight: bold;
    }
    </style>
    </head>
    <body scroll="no">
    <div>
    <table width=100% border=0>

I want to make a dedicated server that my friends can play on, because making a server in the game doesn't work. Can someone explain how to do it?

[rant]It is kinda obvious, your the type of person that doesn't read readmes before installing something, or read installtion instuctions thinking your smart enough, but then complain when people tell you to read it rudefully (it that's a word) when you should have in the first place! [/rant]

Sorry, rant over, but c'mon, it IS clearly labeled

Okay- I have set my prefrences for my server.cfg file- and put it in the right directory but the build time is staying at 10 mins. I want it to be 40.

What is going wrong do you think?
