Default Server not in server list!

Ok, recently I have been trying to get servers running, just to test.

I recently set up SF in my dedicaed folder along with MAni Admin Mod

It all works well apart from the server doesn't show up in the list! I know it works though, because I can use my IP to add it to my favs and join from there. I expect it's to do with my router and wondering if you could give me some help.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I forgot to say it doesn't work with ANY source game (im not sure if it works with HL1) and it also doesn't work with ut2004 or doom3, but I can set up working Lan games, I have yet to check if it sows up in my Lan section.

Your router is blocking and/or not forwarding ports to contact the Steam master servers: try 27011.

or i could open another port, some unkown port that no hackers would ever guess. unlike 27015 or 27016. would that work?

but thanks for the advice.

I remember opening 27015, but then i got a wireless router (old one was wired) so im gunna have to do it again.

No: Steam uses port 27011 to communicate with the master servers.

If you're running Windows, I wouldn't worry about hackers. There are much easier ways to get into your computer.

27015 is the port through which clients connect to the server. 27011 is the port through which the server connects to the Steam master servers.
