Default Stop Auto-Map Change?

I create a listen server, everything runs fine, and then the map changes for no reason.

I've searched everywhere for a mapcycle file, so don't give me that.


Who was the genious that programmed the game to switch maps every 30 minutes, I don't know, but how do I stop my own server from changing maps spuntaneously?

I've added a blank mapscycle.txt to the folder, but I am not waiting until my server changes maps again so I go insane and kill five people.

Try setting mp_roundtime to 0 - that should be infinite.

When I use that command, it says it does not exist.
Ignoring that, it still does not work.

Sorry about the guest post, I assumed Firefox works like it seems to.

Anyway, this really should be fixed if it is this hard to figure out how to stop the map cycle.

Okay, I found mp_timelimit, set to 0 by default.
Is this what I need to change?
And what to get infinite, assuming I want to run the server for eternity?

Yes, that's the one. The 'genius' was Valve, by the way, as most servers want map rotations.

Wouldn't it be smart to have inifinite mp_timelimit by default for listenservers in this mod? I'd like to see that in the next version.

Also, this should be put in the command list sticky.

I don't see why that would be smart. I'd want my server to rotate maps.

Most all servers want a map rotation. If you dont want that then learn simple server commands.
