Default Clan matches.

How many of the clans so far are prepared for clan matches? just friendlys, nothing too competetive.
EDIT: I didn't think people would post challenges here... but as people are it would be a lot less confusing if 1 timezone was used for the times for clan matches: GMT

Yes we are as ready as a clan can get, We are however still looking for more member but already have about 15 players that all play sourceforts. But we are ready for a war and i can host a dedicated server without any lag since i have a 5mb connection.

Velocity (formerly giglioroninomicon) is ready for a match.

We need to agree on standards for match play. I'll write a SourceForts Competitive config to be executed as a match goes "live". How many players are we going to set as the standard? I say 5vs5 or 6vs6.

Rounds and round time? I'd say 10 build time on the first round, a 7 minute fight round, then a 7 minute build, then a 5 minute fight, a 5 minute build, and a 3 minute fight round which ends the match. That would keep things fast and furious, while still allowing enough time to get a good base up in the first round, and repairs/modifications in between fight rounds. Or atleast something on those lines to keep the play speedy and encourage teamwork.

If no one's going to start up a league, I'll do it.

ouch, 10 minute build time - some of our building can take a while, so we may have to build a conventional fort... anyway, i'm up for a friendly or something, though not a completely serious match...

If you go any more than 3v3, you need to restrict the rocket launcher, as all it does it shoot lag spikes.

I was thinking more along the lines of this:

1st Build time: 15 minutes
1st Fight time: 5 minutes
2nd Build time: 5 minutes
2nd Fight time: 20 minutes

This would open the possibilities much more for creating a good strong base in 15 minutes. Then you have a short fight time to get started. During this fight time your base might have some problems you notice, and so during the 2nd build time you make up for these problems so that in the 2nd fight time the real battle begins. This would be the best and would round up a match to 45 minutes which i think is very reasonable.

I think it doesn't really matter if its 4v4, 5v5, 6v6, 7v7 it depends on what the two clans agree on but the first ladder i think would be 6v6.

A long first build time isn't necessary with 6 players. I think 10 minute build time is plenty for a clan of 6 players who will be communicating, but I wouldn't mind changing it. 20 minute fight time seems far too long, and 15 is probably the max I'd go for.

I would want a standard number of players for each match (5v5, 6v6, whatever) because 1. there would be a league standard for the build/fight times, and these round times would have to be decided based on the players, and 2. it lets players get used to playing with a certain number of players. If a clan is accustomed to a building style that is best suited for 6 players, and they play their matches that way, it'd be kinda lame to have to change it up because some clan can't field the correct amount.
